The Sales Division was originally set up to manage the marketing and sales of in-house aircraft owned from within the group.  The experience and expertise gained through the marketing of these aircraft progressively led to the ability to offer an effective and expert aircraft sales service to customers around the world.

As the market developed the Sales Division has expanded rapidly enabling the company to become a leading provider of turboprop aircraft world-wide.

Aircraft have been sold to buyers from the USA, the Far East, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Extensive aviation data from various sources, including manufacturers and operators, provides research capability based on theoretical performance and expectations as well as the actual practical realities achieved in operation.

Dry Leasing

The Leasing Division has conducted over five hundred leases ranging in length from three weeks to over three years.  As the market has developed so has the division, to become one of the leading companies for the lease of turboprop and jet aircraft world-wide.

The prevailing market demand is for aircraft for short or medium term lease without making a long term commitment.  The most common needs are for contracts of fixed duration, route proving new schedules links and airline start-ups.

Excess capacity can be provided on behalf of airlines and operators who either cannot or do not wish to sell their aircraft but find they have temporary non-productive equipment. A short term lease relieves the overhead burden whilst maintaining income for maintenance check provision.

The Leasing Division aircraft analysis and fleet acquisition policy allows BAC Leasing & Sales to purchase aircraft with proven commercial success and in turn offer effective revenue generating aircraft to operators at competitive lease rates.

The leasing activity generates an exchange of information with clients, where useful and effective advice on any aircraft in the fleet is provided.

Wet Leasing (ACMI)

BAC Leasing & Sales provides AOC support through associated companies.  This is of particular benefit to either start-up companies or operators that do not have an aircraft type on their operating licence.

Full wet lease packages are available with crewing and maintenance, or alternatively the training of pilots can be arranged.

The ability to supply complete aircraft operations at short notice has proved to be a welcome feature among the services provided, giving clients maximum flexibility.

Aircraft Re-Marketing

BAC Leasing & Sales offers aircraft owners professional and effective aircraft re-marketing through its general sales agency service.

Direct Marketing – The marketing of aircraft is conducted with the utmost discretion, targeting potential buyers through analysis and research of fleets around the world, start-up airlines and financial institutions.   The comprehensive marketing of the aircraft includes direct marketing to existing fleets, to upgrading fleets and to future markets.  The potential prospective market for the type and, if appropriate, target the freighter conversion market and all other relevant markets are researched and analysed.

Sales Literature and Documentation – The production of clear, full colour brochures covering the main features and items of the aircraft are rapidly produced to provide potential buyers with accurate and attractive sales promotion information.

Advertising Campaign Administration – The selection of the media used for the advertising campaign is carefully chosen to provide maximum impact.  Artwork production and adherence to various media copy dates and publishing requirements, including the careful timing of advertising campaigns to coincide with relevant events are taken care of by the BAC Leasing & Sales advertising team.

Web-site listings – Full details of all the main features and items of the aircraft are posted on the company’s website and on all the appropriate web-sites listing aircraft for sale or lease.

Response Tracking – Potential buyers will receive immediate attention.  The sales documents and aircraft specification data will be sent to all interested parties instantly upon request.  The owner is kept informed of market interest in the aircraft and also of other similar aircraft on the market at the same time.

Arrangements can be made for aircraft to be inspected either by prospective purchasers themselves or by recognised aircraft assessors to provide an independent report of an aircraft’s condition.

Using its resources, market experience and long established personal contacts throughout the aviation industry BAC Leasing & Sales will locate the exact aircraft to suit an operators needs.  BAC Leasing & Sales will not only find the appropriate aircraft but also negotiate a price that suits both buyer and seller.  Aircraft are also bought on behalf of sister company, BAC Aviation Support, for dismantling to supply spare parts and components to aircraft operators and maintenance organisations.
